These 3 are near the top of my list.
1. I don't know why some people don't enjoy the taste of chocolate.
I was at a Christmas party last week and a guy told me hated chocolate. The thought of it made him sick. I was this close to punching him in the face.
2. I'll never get why so many people watch Navy NCIS every week.
How is this show one of the highest rated shows on television? Everyone knows that the guy from Summer School
3. No one could ever possibly justify to me why they think Mena Suvari is attractive.
Unless, of course, they were legally blind. That I could understand. For those that aren't though, it doesn't make any sense to me at all. The only role I can picture her playing is one of the aliens on V.
More so than any of those, I'll never understand how the NCAA governs athletic programs. How they dole out punishment for transgressions by schools and athletes has always boggled my mind.
In particular, the cases of two schools and how it's been handled has been extremely confusing to me.
I can't claim to know all of the ins and outs of the violations by both USC (previously with Reggie Bush's family receiving money and gifts from an agent and currently with Joe McKnight driving an SUV that doesn't belong to him) and Tennessee (at least six "minor" violations since Lane Kiffin took over), but it is obvious that both football programs or the players involved within the programs are not adhering to the rules that most other teams are abiding by.
So far the NCAA has not rushed to judge either of these schools and that I can live with it. But the question with the NCAA is, will they be judged at all?
How many more mistakes, whether they be from the program itself or the players in them, do they have to make before something is done? It's a little like whoever is going to be next on John Mayer's list. How many girls have to swoon over Your Body is a Wonderland before they realize he probably dedicates it to everyone one of his girls?
You would think that eventually the NCAA will do something or at least have someone publicly address the issues and how they are dealing with them. But I've yet to figure out the reasoning for why the NCAA conducts itself like it does or how they might approach potential violations in the future either.
Maybe the dude from Summer School can find us the answer.
